As consultants, we offer our clients the best of our creativity and ingenuity. For non-profits, we also serve in the complementary role as facilitators to draw out the greatness that is already present and potent within the organization. Together, we help our clients reach outcomes that may even exceed their deepest dreams, highest hopes and grandest goals.
We excel at developing new planned giving programs and also at extending, enhancing and growing existing ones. We guarantee client satisfaction, so there is never a risk to call us.
For a small non-profit, we can develop a practicable and effective planned giving component to the development efforts, tailored to the existing staffing and budget, no matter how small, so that any non-profit can have a presence and an outreach, in order to “make the most of the opportunity.”
For the medium and larger organization, we offer robust program design and creation, strategy and planning, manual writing, recruiting and retaining top candidates (with some industry-leading personnel methodologies and providers), and training and evaluation that—unlike many assessments--everyone enjoys. We hold a “building on strengths” mindset and philosophy of business. We aim at synergy, collegiality and mutual joy while we all are joining in doing good things to enrich and change lives.
We can serve as a “virtual staff” or “on call” advisors, as needed. We can also be a back-office resource to evaluate proposed blended and planned gifts and to formulate proposals.
We can also serve the philanthropist and donor by providing co-discovery and vision casting of heart desires and gift designs. We can perform due diligence evaluation of individual non-profits or of a sector of candidate organizations. Finally, we offer representation services.
We can provide approved CE/CLE level educational programs for tax, legal and financial advisors, and practical, empowering training for boards in order to make them effective in working with donors.
We hold to a “Golden Rule” minimum standard in all our dealings. Clients should expect from us everything a client could wish for: excellence and competence, confidentiality and discretion, courtesy and respect, honesty and honor, and a keen and sincere interest in the well being of everyone we work with. We adhere to the commitment expressed by Hypocrates (460 B.C. – 370 B.C.), “First do no harm.”
We do not provide tax or legal advice, sell products of any kind, nor do we accept commissions. We adhere to the professional model standards of practice for the gift planner.
We respect the client’s personal values and priorities, and the non-profit’s culture, values and strategic direction, and all of our work will be done in support of, and aligned with, these priorities.
We listen deeply in order to make certain that we first truly understand what is most important to our clients.
We generally work on a value-based fee approach with a performance guarantee, so that clients pay, not for time and effort, but for the economic value of results. In this way, we assure that the incentives and desired outcomes of the client and consultant are in harmony; we only prosper and succeed when they do.
We can also work on a monthly retainer or an hourly basis, if preferred.
